David Ryder

David J. Ryder is a leading figure in modern U.S. numismatics and an official GOVMINT ambassador. He served as both the 34th and 39th Director of the United States Mint, from 1992 to 1993 and again from 2017 to 2021, making him the only two-time Mint Director in more than a century. Ryder has been recognized by Coin World as one of its “Most Influential People in Numismatics.” His career spans senior roles in government and the private sector, including Deputy Treasurer of the United States and executive leadership in advanced currency authentication and anti-counterfeiting technologies. He is currently president of the Aureus Group, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in currency, security, and minting strategy.
